Anthony Zarrillo has been a trial lawyer for over 40 years. Known as “a Lawyer's Lawyer,” Anthony is committed to providing aggressive legal representation. He began his career at the Camden County Prosecutor's office where he tried all manner of criminal cases including homicides and served as the Assistant Chief of the Homicide Unit. He also served as the Deputy Director of the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice, the prosecutorial arm of the New Jersey Attorney Generals' Office. During his career with the Attorney Generals Office, Anthony also worked in the Division of Gaming Enforcement, the law enforcement agency charged with the regulation of the gaming industry in Atlantic City.
Over the course of his career, he has tried approximately 150 jury trials in New Jersey and federal district courts in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York City and Delaware. His trial experience includes 20 homicide trials, lead trial counsel in a 57 defendant criminal anti-trust conspiracy, medical malpractice and defense of New Jersey state agencies in employment litigation involving claims under the NJ Law Against Discrimination and the Whistle Blowers Act.
His trial experience includes several dozen hearings before administrative agencies and over 100 cases in municipal courts, primarily as a municipal prosecutor. While in the Attorney General's Office for four years, Anthony ran litigation training programs for all county prosecutors offices throughout the state and trained deputy attorneys general in civil litigation skills. He has served on the faculty of the National Association of Attorneys General where he taught litigation skills to government attorneys from all over the United States
Anthony’s government service includes his appointment as the first Executive Director of the NJ Office of Counter Terrorism. He taught trial advocacy for 10 years at Rutgers Law School where he trained dozens of law students in basic trial skills. Also during his career, he ran a law firm in Cherry Hill where he specialized in criminal defense.
